Upcoming elections

Many are aware that the upcoming elections are very important. At no time is it more important for people to get involved then now!  From time to time we all get a little complacent and think what would one vote contribute?  I can tell you that one vote is plenty. we have all enjoyed a good life and deal with the challenges of everyday life, but being a part of the present and future is very important.  Residents of Phoenix are also going to vote on the HOME RULE. this allows the city to continue to manage its financial affairs without the state taking control. The state complains about the federal government stepping in too much and the state is trying to do the same to the city. Vote for HOME RULE.

Over the last two hundred years Americans have been tolerant to abuse, mistreatment and complacency. Most of us don’t really want to deal with issues or problems. We just want them to go away. The unfortunate part of this thinking is that it never goes away and covertly we are being manipulated and diverted from the truth and facts. In the last 24 months we have experienced how politics can divert real main stream issues from our daily thinking.

The powerful are now on a rampage to take away our rights for our own protection (at least that is what we are being told). The funny thing is, we are accepting this. We are being led to the slaughter without any objection. Catchy phrases like "Freedom of Choice" and "Transparency" are being used to divert our attention from the true nature of our problems. I wonder how much longer we are going to allow the culprits of this dangerous thinking to continue to spread lies and propaganda without any recourse.

This may sound like a broken record, but if at any time our participation and voting is important it is NOW! There are a few citizen groups who are actually interested in truth and fairness, certainly not the Tea Party who wants to create anarchy and destroy our American way of life. They pretend to uphold fundamental values of life, liberty and freedom, while carrying on with subversive tactics.

 Meanwhile the mainstream society is being sold down the river. What is it going to take to realize we have to stop this madness and bring back a normal sense of life? Being creatures of habit most people don’t like to get out of their comfort zone. We figure that the next person will challenge the issues and take up the cause, while we rest at home dreaming of tomorrow. History has shown us that complacency will leave you bare. I urge everyone to get off the couch and Vote August 30, 2011.  Vote yes on Home Rule and vote in for the right Councilperson in your district.
